Focus Ireland is a not-for-profit group that works with people who are homeless or are at risk of losing their homes. They offer individuals and families, advice, support, education and housing to help people to have and keep a home. They believe that everyone has a right to a place they can call home and we campaign to address the causes of homelessness through quality services, research and advocacy.
Animo produced an advocacy video for Focus Ireland, designed to highlight the issue of homelessness in Ireland which they are trying to combat.
To accurately and fairly represent this serious issue, Animo featured numerous voiceovers from different members of the community who had become homeless, each telling of the circumstances behind their situation. This was designed to show audiences the numerous ways one can become homeless, and give humanity to the individuals behind the statistics. This advocacy video was designed to appeal to the wider community ton empathise with Ireland’s homeless community, and to support Focus Ireland in their efforts to help.
